Overview of our Licensed Neodymium Magnets
Neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) magnets possess high energies ranging from 8MGOe to 50+ MGOe. As the third generation of rare earth permanent magnets, NdFeB products are less expensive, mechanically stronger and less brittle than samarium cobalt (SmCo). Because NdFeB magnets are prone to oxidation, coating or plating the magnets is recommended.
Advantages
•Highest energy for size
•High Hc and Hci output
•Excellent performance in ambient temperature situations
•More cost effective than samarium cobalt
Disadvantages
•Working temperature is below 200C
•Prone to oxidation
Applications
NdFeB magnets are used in audio, magnetic couplings, power generators, reed switch applications, sensors, DC motors, automotive starters, servomotors, and a multitude of other applications.
